Ubud hosts royal cremation with a lembu
Ubud, the town dubbed the island’s cultural mecca, will host a pelebon (royal cremation) on Tuesday 14th of May 2013 as the Ubud royal family bids farewell to one of its prominent members, Tjokorda Ngurah Wim Sukawati, who served as the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland from 1975 to 1979.
For the ritual is used a nine-tiered, 22-meter-tall bade (cremation tower), a five-meter-long naga banda (dragon) and a five-meter-tall lembu (the black bull)
sarcophagus which is posted here my photo.

....eindrucksvoll wie sie diese Rituale zelebrieren....hat irgendwie nichts mit Traurigkeit zu tun wie bei uns üblich...VLG Benita
