Inside the Chapel of the Flagellation.
Station 2 is where Jesus took up his cross.
This is located next to the Franciscan Monastery of the Flagellation, across the road from the First Station.
A detail of the front stained-glass window illustrates the event of station 1: Jesus is convicted, flogged, and the soldiers place a crown of thorns.
"Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said,
Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands".
