Walkabout with FC member Sabine Kölln of München, Germany. Story and news within.
Hello friends, one and all!!
Well I have just had my laptop completely reinstalled.
So heaps of setting up to do!!
This photo was shot on my hand by FC member Sabine Kölln of München, Germany as we sat at
a roadside bar for a few drinks in Phuket Thailand in the evening.
This beautiful female Praying mantis (Mantis religiosa) landed on my hand.
They are carnivorous (meat -eating) mostly insects.
There are about 2,000 different types of these mantids. The size alters greatly from the small, about 1 cm. to the largest which
grow to just over 15 cm long.
They only live for about 12 months and can spot prey as far as 18 metres away.
Well I am saddened greatly at the silence of our member in Burma FC member Nyo Pu, link provided for those interested
Nyo Pu
, have sent a message to him without an Answer.
He lives in a suburb of Rangoon (Yangon) together with his wife, son and daughter.
I hope that they are all well and without any problems.
I see on TV. a short while ago the American supply planes have started landing in Burma with food.
The political situation is somewhat out of canter at this point in time.
Nyo, we all wish you well mate and hope the family are well too.
We pray for your safety my friend and eagerly await news of your wellbeing.
Bless you all and remember our thoughts are with you!!!
I am sure that all my friends on FC join me in wishing you well Mate!!
Hopefully I shall see you in a few months if all is well??
Now I am still in Hamilton Hill and not sure when I shall complete the work I have to attend to yet??
From here I plan to fly to Brisbane to visit my Son and Grandson and then fly to Cairns, from there by bus to Ravenshoe to visit
My Angelic Daughter.
After that I will fly to Thailand and head south for a month or two, before returning to Udon Thani.
When it is too hot in Udon, I will travel north to Chiang_Mai to Mae Hong Song, where I may cross over into Burma and visit
Mandalay.
Will keep you all posted.
More photo's of Sabine and my walkabout in the south later.
Best wishes to you all, my friends.
Walkabout John. West Australia.
