Wat Muang main temple

Wat Muang is a Buddhist temple in Thailand. Wat Muang is situated nearby to the Great Buddha shown in my postings before.
It was the deserted temple assumed to be built in the late Ayutthaya period in 1687. It is in Mueang Wisetchan Subdistrict, an old prosperous front city. In 1767, the country lost Ayyuthaya to the Burmese. The Burmese army had destroyed cities, temples, and Buddha images. They left only the ruins of temples and Buddha images on the hillside at a large tree.
Photo captured wiht my iPhone 8 smartphone before leaving our visit on the temple complex.
