Wat Phou South Palace
Past the ornate plumeria tree and the ruins of ancient temple fragments, we pass the southern palace, which has recently undergone a renovation.
Over the last decade much work has been done to restore these beautiful buildings.
The architecture is classic Angkor, probably from the early 11th century, with highly decorative stone lintels above each doorway and balustraded windows.
