Wat Suan Kaew Utthayan Yai

Tempel complex in Ancient City of Si Satchanalai.
Wat Suan Kaew Utthayan Yai (not Noi) is one of the large temples which forms one line from west to east. It sits in the middle between Wat Chedi Jed Thaew and Wat Nang Phaya. It includes a Ceylonese bell-shaped chedi and the remains of the main viharn.
Viharn or Vihara is the Sanskrit and Pali term for a Buddhist monastery. It originally meant "a secluded place in which to walk", and referred to "dwellings" or "refuges" used by wandering monks during the rainy season.
