What is This?
thousands of individual plants (I forgot to note the name), cluster together to form a green stone like clump in order to survive in this harsh cold and winswept land.
I took this photo around Ushuaia and Beagle channel at the souther tip of Argentina.

@ Christine and Moin: That's definetly not a "Yaretta" even when it looks like. The Azorella compacta is only living on an altitude of over 3.000 meters and only common on the Altiplano (Bolivia, Northern Chile, Southern Peru).CU Enrico & Co.
