Yellow Swallowtail

The magnificent yellow swallowtail is undoubtedly a spectacular butterfly species whose habitat consists of flowery grasslands, roadside verges, river banks, marshes and hilly open landscapes with hay meadows.

This butterfly can also be found in higher mountain areas up to a height of about 2700 meters above sea level (sometimes exceptionally up to 4500 meters).

In Belgium it’s a very rare appearance.

Dutch name : Koninginnenpage
