Behind COLINARES art!
Frustration sometimes can lead to another artistic endeavor. “I’ve always wanted to become a painter,” confesses Christopher “Dondon” Colinares of Colinares Photography and Design, “but painting has declared itself incompatible with me’” venturing to graphic design for ten years is an alternative to cater his artistry craving. “It is not uncommon for graphic artists to encounter problems with images. For that, I started to get my own images and shoot my desired angles so I could come up with my desired graphic effect.”
On the process, he slowly realized his childhood dream: A life behind the lens.
Honing his skills by doing landscape and fine arts photography. Soon he earned clients and did countless portraits. His amour for paintings has influence over his photography.
The Colinares signature pictures breathe with classic elegance set on romantic and subdued dark backgrounds rendered in well-thought composition.
Eventually, Colinares tested the enterprising yet challenging venture of wedding photography.
“Shooting for weddings is a great challenge. For one, you encounter people with varied taste and personalities and you have to deal with that,” he said.
Considering that, Colinares advises clients to agree on pre-nuptial shoots. “That is when I really get to know my client and adjust to them.”
The key to great wedding pictures? “It’s when you capture the ‘moment.’ And you have to get that for it will never happen again,” he said.
After all, when his eyes and the lens unite, they recreate an otherwise mundane image to one that pulsates with life and sheer artistry.
