A propos de moi
Hi all
Photographs of Berlin, Copenhagen and New York City are the heart and soul of Cultpolitan Journal, the new and exciting free photo magazine hitting the streets this summer.
With Cultpolitan Journal, we invite talented photographers – veterans and untried alike – to show the world how you see your city and its best spots. That might be the odd café, the secret bar, football in the park or it might even be an abstract feel or idea - whatever you want it to be. The boundaries are wide as long as the photographs rock our world.
Give us photographs of the feeling of disappearing in The Big Apple, the clash of East and West in Berlin or the naivety of the Scandinavian capital. Or better yet – give us photographs of feelings, events and people we don’t know about yet. Anything goes as long as the photographs share why you would want to see this place.
Give us that – and will give you the best free photographical journal.
Cultpolitan Journal first issue will feature Copenhagen, New York and Berlin - and will be published in these cities with three different covers. The format will be A5 format and roughly about a hundred pages – a perfect fit for your pocket, backpack, coffee table etc.
Each city chapter kicks off with an article about the city and a map of where the photos were taken. The chapters are divided into:
1. Over-ground level: Public area (parks/transport/ /architecture/areas etc.)
2. Ground level: Going out (bar/café/events/nightlife/eating etc.)
3. Under-ground level: Everything goes (style & fashion/crazy people/snapshots etc.)
The project is moving forward rapidly and our first deadline will be 1st of June. Therefore we need material as quickly as possible.
Some of our favourite photographers are people like Terry Richardson, Martin Parr, Anton Corbijn and you – yes you! We want you to impress us and become the next big star of photography. Again: everything goes!
We want to promote your style of photography; we want to show the heart & soul of your city, we want to show the new photographical talent-mass of these cities - and through your lens provide the reader with a feel of your city.
Send us your photographs, ideas, feedback, back-up, suggestions, network, friends and love!
Peace & Love
