Filmore Rose

I started shooting photos as a child. My father was a professional photographer and took me along on assignments. I was also a staff photographer for the student newspaper, the "Cavalier Daily," at the University of Virginia, where I covered sports. I have taken several courses in photography at the Santa Fe Photography Workshops in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I lived for many years before moving to California. I lived in the Bay Area of California for 10 years. In 2007 I permanently relocated to Bainbridge Island, Washington.

I like to shoot cityscapes, portraits, still life and landscapes. Most of my shooting is done while travelling. I use mostly Nikon equipment, but also shoot occasionally with an older Hasselblad. Most recently I have been shooting with a Nikon D200.
