A propos de moi
It is difficult in short words to describe my passion - simply to show simple beauty in simple ways with simple equipment and simple talent but great pleasure!
Hello like-minded people!
My deep passion for photography began approximately 20 years ago, whereby I have mostly photographed landscapes, buildings and animals. Indeed I like taking photos since I was a teenager but it had always been more on remembrances than on the work itself. Then, since several years it appealed to me to get a taste of portrait photography, which up until now has only been possible to a limited extent with friends and family. I'm looking for eye-catching appearances and attractive people to photograph them and get to know them a little. So I started searching for models and approached them on the street, at festivals and other events. I want to show the natural beauty of my mostly female models and use simple means, do deliberately not shoot in RAW format and do only edit the pictures gently afterwards. Sometimes when I think it would further the both of us I suggest another shooting according to their ideas. Target is to get a win-win-situation, so my model receives nice photos and can collect some experience if she finds taste in modeling. And it helps me enormous to develop, plus it is a lot of fun indeed. Especially when I notice that the model has fun, too, feels comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxed while shooting. I enjoy to discuss afterwards the work, also with the intend to improve based on the model´s opinion. However, even with very short acquaintances, where there is only a brief moment of working together, it gives me pleasure when I receive positive response and I can present my work online.
I accept criticism, which, of course, also occurs, and I try to improve as best as possible for my further work.
This criticism will certainly reach me at fotocommunity, too, and I will try to listen. Nevertheless, I would like to mention right away that I will not pay too much attention to anyone who wants to compare my work with that of a professional photographer and measure myself against it. I am primarily concerned with having fun and presenting my models in the right setting (not perfect) as I do not want to let my photos sleep on my hard drive. Rather, I just want to show the results of my work to a crowd of like-minded people who can hopefully enjoy it!
