A Hint of Early Autumn

On the last Sunday of summer I was driving some northern Virginia byways. I pulled over to shoot a woodsy
motif, when I happened to look up and see those reddish gold leaves amidst the contra-lighted greens.

The scene was captured through a Helios 44 58mm f/2 lens (early version, 13-blade iris KMZ) on my Canon EOS 40D.

Here's hoping for a golden, color-rich autumn, with lots of low-humidity sunshine and crisp air to enjoy it in!
