An Ice Cream Smile

It's National Ice Cream Day in the United States...
and is that an ice cream smile or what !!

In the interest of accurate reportage, the photo was taken in Switzerland; but I'm certain,
with all those contented cows in all those pretty pastures, CH must have a similar day.

The setting was a cozy little ice cream parlor in the village of Tamins, high above the confluence of
the Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein branches of the Rhine. I was exploring Tamins with little Riana and her
Mom on an October afternoon in 2011, having been introduced to them by Riana's Grossmütsch, my
F-C photographer friend Beatrice.

As I've noted elsewhere, whether with a village kittycat (*) or a bowl of ice cream,
Riana loved the camera ... and the camera loved her right back ;-)
