I could tend to agree with Janos and Leonid's views from a first glance on the excellent and very explicit photo of yours Ken, if we considered it's message as a silly exageration...But, bearing in mind, that quite often isn't so, I can only state that the spectacle of a man having to declare his nature waving a placard and shouting it in a demonstration is not at all flattering for the soceity he belongs to.
Excellent and very expressive photo.
best regards alexander
This is a jump back to Martin Luther King and civil-rights movement in a symbolic way of thinking Ended in 1967 . However the fight continues.. great eye
looks like all these guys and dolls are out wasting a good working day (and probably taxpayers money) to protest something. And you wonder about the downfall of America?
I AM A MAN , hahaha, that's a good one.
: ))) he definitely is! and the tallest and biggest of them all, it seems! great capture of a comical moment here, ken! "the man" may not have noticed you taking his picture – too involved in his cell phone! – but the one right next to him sure is keeping a sharp eye on you, and quite literally so! ; )) so i guess the atu was supporting the teachers' union in the school strike? have to admit that i had to read up on "i am a man" first to understand that it's "a unifying civil rights theme" slogan derived from the "memphis sanitation strike" in 1968. i'm adding the wikipedia link just in case anyone else may be as ill-informed as me. greetings, sabine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis_Sanitation_Strike
