Stained-Glass Artist (Roel Hildebrand, Alkmaar, NL) #5
Here his assistant is working on a part of a wall lamp. He solders the lead connecting the many glass mosaics. Because of the critical temperature for soldering lead he uses a gas fired soldering rod.

fascinating! i had no idea, how it was done! a great new series in your ongoing project of showing people at work at special crafts! once again the composition is very convincing, as it has a "before" – or rather "during" – and an "after" in it: our attention is clearly drawn to the assistant and his hands working his gear, but as soon as we care to look up, we can see the result in the stained-glass work on display against the window! greetings, sabine.
