View to the Salween river
The amazing tour along the Salween river which isn't famous and common for foreign trekking lovers. Just some years before the area wasn't safe for strangers due the criminal business happened with illegal deforestation and drug traffiking.
The Salawin National Park (in Thai written Salawin) was the starting point for the trekking tour and at the present the area is more safe to do trekking with an local ranger or tour guide.
The river, also known as Saluen, is about 2,815 kilometres long, and flows from the Tibetan Plateau into the Andaman Sea.
The opposite of the river side is Burmesian (Myanmar) territory.

....schöner Grenzfluss...hier lässt man den Fluss fließen wie er mag...in Deutschland hat man oftmals die Flüsse begradigt was nicht unbedingt von Vorteil war....ich mag diese Naturlandschaften wie hier...besonders die in Asien...VLG BenitaHerbert Rulf 27/01/2021 0:17
Das müsste dann in der Provinz Mae Hong Son sein. Als ich zuletzt im Oktober 2019 meinen Freund in Soppong besucht habe sind wir mit einem 4-Rad-Fahrzeug bis direkt an die burmesische Grenze gefahren, dank guter Beziehungen durch 2 militärische bzw. polizeiliche Straßensperren. Die Landschaft ist fantastisch und es gibt etliche Dörfer mit Minderheiten und auch etliche Orte in denen fast nur Thai Yai wohnen. Wer Zeit hat sollte wirklich unbedingt diese schöne Gegend besuchen.Schön dass du mal wieder Erinnerungen bei mir auffrischst.

Eine wunderschöne Trekkinggegend 27 km westlich von Mae Sariang im Nordwesten von Thailand. Nur wenig bekannt und deshalb noch ursprünglich und ein "Thailand" wie ich es vor 42 Jahren vorfand und in Erinnerung habe. Danke für Eure Kommentare.Günter Roland 26/01/2021 15:02
