Answer!!! Nipple Fruit, Titty Fruit, Cow's Udder, Apple of Sodom. Story Within.
Now I need to Identify this fruit which is from a complex family group,
known as (Solanum sp.)
There are so many in this group, that it was not very easy to track it down.
Many are edible whilst others are POISONOUS!!
This one is POISONOUS!!
Some of the edible varieties that we are familiar are as follows;
Tomatoes.
Potatoes.
Chillies and Peppers.
Tree Tomatoes.
Cape Gooseberry's
Pepino's.
Black Pepper
Eggplant, also known as Aubergine, Garden Egg, or Brinjal,
There are many varieties here as well, from the large purple
Fruits. to the most popular here in Thailand is known Easter Egg Plant,
this egg shaped creamy coloured fruit is used in all the soups.
For example, Tom yum goong (prawn), moo (pork) or gai (chicken).
This fruit is (Solanum mammosum) and has many common names.

This 75mm- 130mm bright yellow orange fruit grown as an ornamental.The fruits are
poisonous if ingested.
The fruit is quiet unique, The plant also has a few medicinal properties and the
juice of the fruit Has some detergent activity and can be used for washing clothing.
A smallish shrubby perennial that can be grown as an annual. It has rather largish
velvety leaves have purple veins and furry hair, along with prominent spikes.
The branches and stems are also dotted with firm thorns. The fruit is rather hardy.
The plant needs no particular soils but needs regular watering.
At spring time the little purple to pinkish flowers appear, followed by these beautiful
fruits, containing seeds.
It can be propagated from seeds or by rooting cuttings from the shrub.
The plant grows up to 2 metres in height.
Native to South America. This species has also has naturalized in some parts of Central
America and the Caribbean.
Now I hope that you have found this fruit as interesting as I have, Please remember that

Dried fruit are pulverized into a powder form and used in homeopathic remedies.
