Botrange
Botrange is the highest point of Belgium (694m) and comprises both swamps and forests.
While I was walking there, I spotted a striking bird of prey who was hunting above the snow covered environment now and then.
Normally I don’t like hunting cabins like the one in the picture, because they are used by hunters to kill innocent animals for pleasure.
But when the hut is free, also a photographer can use it, like I did, with the intention of shooting the conscious bird of prey.
I spent about an hour there inside until I was nearly totally frozen by sitting motionless at -17° (it's like sitting in a deep freezer)
But the result was great. I could shoot the beautiful and fairly rare bird out of the hut very well while he was taking a rest.
If you want to know what bird of prey it was, watch this space tomorrow.......

Hi Mark, You have made such good use of the Hunter's cabin in the composition of this fine shot. For the life of me I can never understand the mentality of people who like to kill innocent creatures purely for the fun of it, but I better say no more or I will get into trouble.
best wishes from Scotland.
