Brooklyn-bound

A good place for getting "up close and personal" with speeding New York City subway trains is the pedestrian
walkway on the Manhattan Bridge, high above the East River, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

This level contains no less than four tracks, one of them being just a few feet from the walkway.

Here, an "N" Broadway Local clatters across the south side of the bridge, on its way to Stillwell Avenue,
Coney Island in Brooklyn. After crossing the bridge, the tracks will plunge back underground for a number
of stations before emerging once again on elevated tracks.
