East River Twilight

Whether or not these strollers were missing a White Christmas during this twilight by the East River,
it is a good bet that they were enjoying their bright white expanses of walking paths on this segment
of the East Midtown Greenway, which had just opened days earlier, in December 2023.

The vantage point for this tele-compressed view taking in the twilight riverscape was the pedestrian
bridge that leads to the Promenade at E 60th St, just to the north of the Queensboro Bridge. (*)

Like some of the other stretches of this Greenway that circles Manhattan, the walking and
bike paths are attractively offset from the island's landmass. That's the FDR Drive on the right.
