But I wanted some...
Even "traveling light," as I was on this hot summer's day on the National Mall in Washington, with my 1950s Brownie Hawkeye box camera, by the time I had shot all 12 (!) exposures on this roll of film, some popcorn, washed down by something cold and wet, would have tasted so-o-o good.
But, alas, by this time, the kettle wagon had closed for the day.
For this roll, the trusty Brownie was viewing the world through a "reversed" lens, hence the dreamy effect.
The photo was made on Kodak T-Max 400 black and white film. It is available in archival gallery prints and as a custom printed Photo Note Card. Essence of buttered popcorn, extra.

a picture that makes me get an idea what travelling in a virtual time machine must feel and look like – if it was invented at all, that is! ; )) the dreamy effect of your brownie hawkeye's reversed lens suits the nostalgia well, radiated by both the vintage popcorn kettle wagon and the sudden yen for the childhood joy of holding a freshly bought bag of popcorn in your hand! ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: the slight tilt in pov gives an illusion of movement. can almost see the wheels spin and the wagon (time-) travel back out of sight! next exit plymouth plantation, thanksgiving 1621… ; )))David H Thomas 03/08/2012 6:43
