Eternal No.2

View across quad, University of Glasgow in late afternoon on a November day.

As the rain was persistent, I decided to spend some time under the shelter of the University’s expansive
Cloisters passageway, looking out into the quadrangles on either side, as rainy afternoon gave way to rainy evening,
and lights began to cast their reflections on the wet walkways…providing inviting motifs for my cameras.

This is one of my favorites from that interlude. I like the eternal calm that the bench and the history-laden stone and ironwork bespeak.

And, if you are curious over how it came to be posted on the first day of Spring...

a rainy autumn day outside, and yet there's such an nice and cozy mood, a feeling of shelter, oozing from this image! it's all in the yellow and orange of the light, both inside and on the facade of the venerable old building, a place of entlightment for many years, i'm sure… ; )) on the bench: the suggestion of a "snuggling twosome", happy even in the rain, with the reflected light keeping their feet warm and the strikingly green grass surrounding them like a river, suggesting hope for an eternal spring. ; )) sole drop of bitterness: the learned one doesn't see it, having his back turned to both us and the "november* spring"! greetings, sabine.

*see, i did read your thunderflake! ; ))
