Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial Moonrise
Felix de Weldon's sculpture sits on high ground in Arlington, Virginia, across the Potomac from Washington, D.C.
It was inspired by a famous World War Two news photograph by Joe Rosenthal of Marines
and a Navy medical corpsman raising the American flag on the Island of Iwo Jima in the Pacific.
Sunday is Veterans Day in the United States.
