Reds of an Autumn Afternoon No.2 - An Annapolis Impression
It was the last week of November, and the trees in my area of northern Virginia were
either well past their autumn peak in terms of color or were already winter bare.
So it was a delight to find that, just 50 miles to the east, in Annapolis, Maryland there was still lots of autumn colors to be seen, enjoyed, and photographed, including the vivid reds of this magnificent maple on the front lawn of the State House.
Shot in the late afternoon sun through a favorite film era lens, the Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f/2, on my Canon
EOS 40D, for an effective tele-length of 93mm in film or full-frame digital terms, thus allowing for the selective focus.
