Samedan - A Champagne Climate Kind of Day
The inviting town of Samedan is one of the gateways to the sunny
Oberengadin (Upper Engadin) region of Switzerland's Canton Graubünden.
The Oberengadin (it gets its name from the Inn River which runs through both the Upper and Lower Engadin regions) lays claim to an annual average of 322 days of sunshine. Residents of the Oberengadin call this combination of sunshine and low humidity the "Champagne Climate."
Happily, my wanderings in Samedan on this October day
brought some of the very best of Champagne Climate conditions.

Even Nietzsche was enthusiastic about the Engadin.I know you are a monochrome addict, but doesn't this phantastic sky deserve a colour photograph? ;-)
