Sapantean
Taken in Sapanta, Maramures, Romania.
This village has a reputation for its graveyard. It's no common burial place, for its name is (I'm not sure about the accuracy of the translation) "The Merry Cemetery" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merry_Cemetery).
I took his picture because he looked very lonely in the dusty road, just watching tourists go by. Anyway, when I first saw him he was heading towards his home, at a crossroad on the main road where one could see a sign showing the way for "Merry Cemetery". It occured to me that he was waiting to take that road, instead of the one to his home.
