After visiting Cairnpapple Hill, where there is a chamber tomb, I descended the hill again and made my way towards Linlithgow. After a while, the "Scottish Korean War Memorial" appeared on the right-hand side, which John had pointed out to me in 2018 on the way back from "Beegraigs Country Park". Just behind the entrance is an information board about the purpose of the memorial. Unfortunately, many Scottish soldiers lost their lives in the Korean War. Their names and regiments are all listed individually under the pagoda roof.

"There is an information board which explains the background history to the memorial in English, with a Korean language translation."

Nach dem Besuch des Cairnpapple Hills, auf dem sich ein Kammergrab befindet, stieg ich den Hügel wieder hinab und machte mich auf den Weg in Richtung Linlithgow. Nach einer Weile tauchte auf der rechten Seite das "Scottish Korean War Memorial" auf, auf das mich John bereits 2018 auf der Rückfahrt vom "Beegraigs Country Park" hingewiesen hatte. Kurz hinter dem Eingang steht eine Informationstafel über den Zweck des Memorials. Viele schottische Soldaten verloren im Koreakrieg leider ihr Leben. Ihre Namen und Regimenter sind unter dem Pagodandach alle einzeln aufgelistet.
