The fourteen point Silver Star
Israel
Bethleem
The Church of Nativity
In the eternally beseiged and dismal city of Bethleem, a city quite often badly quaked by terrorists explosions, the imposing basilca of The Nativity of Christ is built exactly on the site that is still traditionally considered to be located over the cave that marks the birthplace of Jesus. The church was originally commissioned by the emperor Constantine The Great and his mother Helen in 327AD but it's construction was eventually terminated by Byzantine emperor Justinian in 565. the Basilica of Nativity is considered as Worlds Heritage Site IN DANGER.
Beneath the Altar of the church, in the Grotto of the Nativity, is curved the fourteen point Silver Star that marks the traditional spot beleived to be the exact birth place of Jesus by the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In the.. very bad photo- excuse me for that but it was taken in extremely low light, with an instamatic film (100 ASA) camera as photography was forbidden- you can see the Star curved on the stone floor.
Merry and Peaceful Christmas to all of you and Health and Happiness in the coming new year.

A reminder of what Chritmas is rell all about....a baby , born in great poverty who tried his best to save us all, before he died on a wooden cross to save our souls....and what is it now for many.... a poor excuse for spending money they have not got on things that they do not really need, r on gifts for others that will be discarded as soon as Christmas is over.http://www.bibleplaces.com/bethlehem.htm
It may not be the best of photographs... but it has a very strong story to impart.
Have a peaceful and beautiful Christmas.
