The Fungi World (201) : Shaggy Inkcap

The young fruiting body of the Shaggy Inkcap first appears as a white cylinder emerging from the ground, then the bell-shaped cap opens out.
In the last stage of its life, the cap discolors black with dark ink dripping down.
(iIt is possible to write with this ink but after about a year the ink fades and the text becomes difficult to read)

The specimen in the shot was already dripping ink before coming mature, which is rather unusual.

Dutch name : Geschubde inktzwam
German name : Schopftintling
Latin name : Coprinus comatus

A big thanks to Jochen Braband for the nomination of this picture.
