The World Comes Tumbling Down
I was playing with the software and applied a filter on this one, so it looks more like a painting. The original had too sharp light, and somehow there were too many details. I think, in this case less is more and the abstractness adds to the "magnificence" effect. With the downside being of course that the water only looks really good when viewed from a distance - although there is some interesting cotton wool or porosity effect, when you go really near :-)
I like the water disappearing in the mist at the bottom, the small spots of color and the 4 birds :-) And there is still some water pouring out of the picture from the lower right edge very near to the observer, which gives the picture more depth. At least that is my impression...
The picture has been taken on the argentinian side of the waterfalls of "Foz do Iguaçu", a really stunning place, but a lot of tourists come there as well. Even more on the brazilian side, though...
Please tell me your opinion!
I would also be happy to hear about your thoughts on my previous pictures, e.g.:
