Virginia Railway Express Commuter Train on Maine Avenue Bridge
In the late day sunshine of a July afternoon, a Virginia Railway Express commuter train on
the Fredericksburg Line crosses above Maine Avenue on the Washington Southwest Waterfront.
The MP36 diesel electric locomotive is pulling a consist of double-deck Gallery IV coaches.
Originating at Washington's Union Station, the train has just made its first stop at L'Enfant Plaza
and will shortly be crossing the Long Bridge over the Potomac River into Virginia.

I am surprised to see that Americans still know to use trains for travel :-)
