Britannias at Kingmoor
Two of Carlisle Kingmoor Depots Britannias 70001 "Lord Hurcombe" and 70053 "Moray Firth" nearing the end of their days and looking rather worn out - far from their original lined green livery and minus nameplates. These locomotives were named after famous British historical figures, with a few named after Scottish Firths. They were among the few short lived Classes of locomotives built by British Railways after Nationalisation in 1948.

Two "Britannia" Pacifics in one shot, and the first one in front - marvellous! But, sadly, in quite grimy condition already!LG tom
