Heavy Hauling at Point of Rocks

An eastbound CSX freight, pulled by four heavy diesel-electric locomotives enters
the Metropolitan Division at Point of Rocks, Maryland on a September afternoon.

The CSX tracks split at this point, at the wye at Point of Rocks station, to head either in the direction of Washington
via the Metropolitan Division or toward Baltimore through the Patapsco Valley via the historic B&O Old Main Line (*).

The locomotives working this consist are a mix of GE and EMD power.
The second unit (FURX) is leased to CSX. All others were in CSX liveries.
