In the Land of L'Aiguilles
Two cable cars provide a photo enticing ascent through the Alpine cragginess of the L’Aiguilles (Needles) region. Then, walking across a footbridge to a neighboring "needle" and an elevator ride within, for a rise of another 1,000 feet, provides unforgettable views. IF atmospherics smile (my reason for a second ascent when this photo was taken).
Photographed from L'Aiguille du Midi at an altitude of 12,605 feet in the French Alps, on Kodak's
superb old fine grain Panatomic-X (32 ISO) in my Nikon FM with Tamron 28-200mm lens.
