Larch Valley Autumn
Larch Valley is a plateau high above Moraine Lake with superb views of the Wenchemna Peaks that surround the glacial lake high in the Banff Rockies of Canada. In early autumn, the Lyall's Larches put on a spectacular show of color as their leaves change from green to gold.

wow!!! so beautiful, steve!! the colors of the sun and the ocean – can't beat that combination!! and larches are such beautiful trees (and rare, where i live!) – soft and gentle looking, and shedding their needles like deciduous trees… the bright yellow leaves just glow and make me feel warm all over, whereas the cool blue background appears to be a harbinger of winter… greetings, sabine. p.s. enjoyed your new "thunderflake"!Matthias Mempel 06/09/2010 8:30
