Mount Vernon Place Summer - A Baltimore Summer Film Moment
From atop the Washington Monument, First U.S. President George Washington takes in the view downtown
along North Charles Street, including the equestrian statue of his French compatriot the Marquis de Lafayette,
a feature of the southern quadrant of Mount Vernon Place.
To the north rise the spires of the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. (*)
The Mount Vernon district is a lively arts and cultural center in midtown Baltimore with the Walters Art Gallery and the Peabody Conservatory flanking the plaza and a variety of restaurants and bars close by. Also nearby, a few blocks to the northwest, is the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, home to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
