Autumn in the Piedmont No.7
I suppose it might strike some as "contrarian" - especially those who,
like me, have a passion for vibrant sunbathed autumn colors ...
But I also find it rewarding when I can capture nature's intricate forms
in a manner in which they can make their own specific statement.
And black and white seemed an appealing choice here when those delicately
intricate forms could harmonize with some rough-hewn manmade lines, all set
off by the low angle of November late afternoon sunlight.
The scene was captured while exploring the area around The Plains, Virginia.
