Breaking It To Him Gently...
... - a Real World/real girl Moment in a New York City Park.
With a forgiving eye toward its technical shortcomings, I just found something
engaging and just a bit poignant as I was editing this quickly grabbed moment.
It was a sunny summer afternoon and I was exploring Nelson Rockefeller State Park,
which stretches invitingly along the Hudson in Battery Park City, as this combination of
Tom Otterness “Real World” guy and real girl caught my eye.
Her hand gesture wrote the story:
“You’re very sweet and, yes, I’m a touchy-feely kind of gal,
but those long arms of yours are just a little TOO touchy-feely for me.”
Or was it just the hot summer sun beating down on the guy with the camera?
Those “Real World” bronze sculptures (*) lend whimsical touches
throughout this pleasant park in Lower Manhattan.(*)
The moment was captured on FomaPan 100 Classic black and white film.
