Meet Mugi - A Fort Tryon Park Moment

I rarely miss an opportunity to make a feline acquaintance when traveling.

If you follow my work, you might be aware that the chances for such
meetings have been frequent in Switzerland (*) and Germany. (**)

But I've noticed New York seems more doggie-centric, at least in terms of public places.
Thus, I was delighted to meet this little girl, contentedly cavorting on her leash in northern
Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park during an October afternoon's exploration.

Her humans told me mugi is a Japanese word, generally meaning "whole wheat." They were fine with me taking some photos of their little "park explorer," who seemed to be "feeling her (whole) Wheaties" on this perfect autumn afternoon.
