Double-Heading through the Pine Forest
Along the narrow gauge Preßnitztalbahn, two steam locomotives haul a
goods train through the pine forest in the sunlight of this winter afternoon.
The Preßnitztalbahn is a 750-mm narrow gauge steam railway running
between Steinbach and Jöhstadt in the Erzgebirge region of
eastern Germany, close by the Czech border.

trains of the Pressnitztalbahn.

Thanks for mentioning my work for another time, Steve! You captured the train sharp at the very appropriate moment before it was vansihing in the darkness of the forest.
And, as well, the ideal position of the first engine´s movement, rods down.
Cheers, Tom

in this shot the preßnitztalbahn looks so touchingly small, almost like a model train! but for me it's always amazing to see how many details make it work, and how much complicated analog technology must have gone into its construction! if you think modern technology is complicated, just look at the movement of the machinery attached to the wheels… another great shot of your series! the gentle light is really making the little train glow and shine! greetings, sabine.
